Final Conference Amsterdam, The Netherlands

The meeting in Amsterdam was on the 21st, 22nd and 23th of March 2018.

Issues at the meeting were:

  • Tour of the school
  • Physical game with students

15.10 hrs - presentation of the project; maybe as a video and then present the afternoon

The meeting was held on October 5th and 6th.

Fifth conference meeting Bridgwater, UK.

The partnermeeting was planned: 7th-9th of June 2017.

Issues at the meeting were:

Fourth conference meeting Lyon, France

The conference took place on Thursday 9 February and Friday the 10th of February

Issues at the meeting were:

Visit to a Green Salon

On February 11th 2017, we had the opportunity to visit the Green Salon Marcapar, property of Mr Christian Roche who found himself forced to abandon his profession because of dermatological issues on his hands. This situation, far from discouraging him, helped him to discover a new market niche for a business opportunity, as the consequences of the use of chemicals are increasing and so is the number of people who develop allergies and intolerances to different products.

 

Third conference meeting Malaga, Spain

The conference took place from wednesday 5th of October till friday 7th of October. On Tuesday 4th of October we visited the LÓreal Green Academy in Madrid. See link here.

The studentsprogramme:

Wednesday :
9:00 to 9:30. Introduction to Spanish Educational System and welcome (Whole group)
9:30 to 10:00. Making 4 groups of 4 students each (1 student per country) and raffleling the issue of the sketch. Each group will be coordinated by a spanish teacher or senior student to facilitate the comunication and teamworking.
10:00 to 14:00 Working on sketch
The script and idea of the sketch should be already developed by each partner. In Málaga they will only have to create it and execute it, so your students should bring their own computers to work on but if they are going to need any extra thing, tell us in advance to provide it. You can see different ideas to work on and different resources on the former Student´s activities presentation (slides 12-20).

15:15 to 17:00 Working on sketch
21:00 Dinner at the seaside

Thursday:
8:30 to 9:30. Explanation to students of the diagnostic scan.
9:30 to 12:00. Studetns will test the scan in several hair salons. A spanish student with his foreign mate (groups of two people) will visit 3 hair salons in Málaga to test the scan and realice the owner´s reaction. A total of 24-36 scanners (12 couples will scan 2-3 salons each) will be done so we´ll have enough information to analyze. Each couple will know previously what salons they will visit though they will be selected by IES El Palo.
12:00 to 12:30. Break
12:30 to 14:00. Collecting data and braimstorming session before sharing results to the whole group (teachers included)-
14:00 to 15:15. Lunch time

Friday:
8:30 to 10:00. Sharing results of testing the scan to the whole group.
10:00 to 11:00. Presentation of sketches to the whole group.
11:00 to 11:30. Break
11:30 to 13:00. Start with content of the magazine: Students from each School should write a report (a total of 4 reports) about their visit to the salons or about anything they consider related with the project, to include in the magazine.
13:00 to 14:00. Conclussions and farewell. Delivery of Certificates of Attendance.

 

Second conference meeting Arhus, Denmark

The first Kick off conference meeting, Amstelveen, The Netherlands

On the 8th -9th of December 2015 the first meeting was planned in Amstelveen, The Netherlands. In this meeting the central issues were:

  • Introducing the sustainability in the Hair & Beauty salon
  • Entrepreneurial skills in hte future salon
  • The world of auditting and certification
  • Multimedia in the classroom
  • The sustainability game

Also an introduction on the project "Future Skills & Sustainable Development in the Green Salon" and a workshop on administative and financial issues were planned.
