Presentation of KA 202 Project Future Skills and Sustainable Development in the green salons

On November 10th it took place the oficial presentation  of the Strategic Partnership we are part of: “Future Skills ans Sustainable Development in the Green Salons” in the frame of an Erasmus+ Project  KA 202.

For the occasion we invited  a representant of Málaga Employers Confederation as well as  an entrepreneur in human resources very involved with sustainability. The aim of this event was to make aware our VET students of the importance that Labour Market gives to CSR and sustainability.

The conference and following discussion was prolonged through two hours. During this  meeting Paloma Rodriguez, the Erasmus+ Coordinator of IES El Palo, Patricia Iglesias, the representing the Málaga Employers Confederation and Miguel Angel Serralvo, director of the HR Company “Con Talento”, explained what sustainability means, different ways of being sustainable in our common lives and the increasing importance that sustainability is reaching within companies. In a way, we wanted that our students be conscious, from the beginning, on the importance of the European Strategic Partnership we are part of and to involve external actors from our social environment.

The aim of the Project: “Future Skills and Sustainable Development in the Green Salons” is to develop different educative and management materials to improve sustainable entrepreneurship in the Hair and Beauty Salons. This project will last till 2018 and the following 7 and 8 of December we´ll have the first meeting with all the European Partners to start this Project promoted by Stivako from Holland, Aarhus Tech from Denmark and IES El Palo, partners from the former Leonardo Da Vinci Project “Innovation and Sustainability in the Creative Industries”.

We are looking forward to beginning this new challenge to demonstrate students and professionals from Hair and Beauty Sector that sustainability is possible and that it will be the corner-stone for a professional success in the next future.
